Hello Everyone. This is my very first blog. Today is suppose to be the luckiest day of the year 08-08-08. My wishes to All of you. I am in LOVE. I just moved to California from New York, and I am in love with the weather in Ventura. I love the little things in life and appreciate them. I walk pass the gov. ctr(place of employment) smelling the magnolias. Wow the flowers are as large as your head. They are soo beautiful, and the fragrance!!!! They have fountains that shoot water and the mist hits you when you walk by. You will also find a constant little breeze. (I am sure the people who work there take this for granted), but not me. Remember a smile to someone can change their day and yours. So SMILE, SMILE and say hello. Miles of smiles to you, Susan

Hi Susan! Welcome to Blogland! Found you in the comments section of Romantic Home. I just started blogging 3 months ago.
Moved from San Diego to Northern California almost 3 yrs ago--a lonely experience, but I'm adjusting. Found a neat church and that helps. Blogging has been a blessing as I've found some wonderful like-minded friends from all over the country.
Stop over for a visit sometime..and email me if you'd like to chat!
Blessings!
Myrna

Hi Myrna, Thank you for the welcoming. I am trying to find a new church. I really miss my church and church family. It is a lonely experience, but I have already made two new friends today. Have a wonderful weekend. Susan

So happy to meet you Susan. I've never been to New York, but I lived in California most of my life. I can see how you fell in love with Ventura. We love to go to that area. I hope you find a good church soon. That will help you feel more at home there. It isn't always easy to find just the right church. We visited a lot of churches in our area before we settled on one after my husband retired from the ministry about 4 years ago.

Hi Susan,
I noticed that this is the only post on your blog. I hope you will post something of a spiritual or inspirational nature for Spiritual Sundays. After you post a spiritual post is when you are suppose to sign up on Spiritual Sundays so you can share your post with others. I don't think I made that clear enough.
I hope you are still enjoying Ventura.

Hi Susan! As you will see there are many great churches in our area. You are more then invited to come check out our church. It is located in Port Hueneme. Do you know where that is? It is a little drive for some if you are up by the government buildings. We would LOVE to have you stop by. I take my two little ones to preschool at Bible Fellowship Church. Another great place. Our church is called The Door and we have been here 5 years. It is a small but growing pioneer work. Our fellowship just planted another "baby" church up there (Ventura) that is starting from scratch. That one will/is in Ventura. But like I said it is VERY NEW. And I know with you new to the town you would like to have some people to fellowship with. Just let me know. Pray that God would guide you! Wendy

I love visiting Ventura. There is a great little hotel there that's not too expensive and is situated directly over the ocean. I live in Bakersfield and I try to get over there a couple of times a year. Your so lucky to live there. I've only been blogging a short time too. Isn't it so much fun?
